The Brisbane in 28 Worldcon Bid Is Now Official!

Our Bid to host Worldcon in Brisbane in 2028 has now been officially filed with LAcon V’s Site Selection Division. We are providing links to our filing documents below, followed by instructions on how you can help to make Worldcon in Brisbane a reality by voting in Site Selection.

Worldcon sites are selected two years in advance by a secret ballot of WSFS members. To be eligible to vote in Site Selection, you must have an LAcon V Worldcon membership with WSFS rights ($50 USD). You can purchase a membership on LAcon V’s Membership Page.

Once you have a WSFS membership and Site Selection voting opens, you purchase an advance WSFS membership for the future 2028 Worldcon in order to vote. This automatically makes you a WSFS member of the 2028 Worldcon, regardless of which bid wins. The voting fees are passed on to the winning Worldcon bid.

For step-by-step instructions on how to vote in site selection, either electronically, by mail, or at the convention, visit LAcon V’s Site Selection voting page.

We understand that some of the details about the Site Selection process can be confusing, so please feel free to reach out to us using our Contact form with any questions you may have.
